Terra – Durable Synthetic Felt Cushioning for Dry & Demanding Conditions
The Terra Pad is a 10 mm synthetic felt insole designed to provide stable protection, natural pressure distribution and enhanced boot fit inside Flex Boots.
Unlike foam-based pads, Terra behaves more like compacted ground under the hoof. As the horse moves, the material compresses and gradually shapes itself to the sole, creating a close, customized contact surface inside the boot.
Terra is especially recommended for dry seasons, arid climates and horses working on hard or rocky terrain.
How Terra Works
The pad compresses and shapes itself to the sole the same way as natural dirt.
This creates:
Even pressure distribution
Improved stability inside the boot
Reduced internal movement
Reliable protection against sharp or uneven surfaces
Because the pad adapts naturally to the hoof, it can also improve overall boot fit by stabilizing the hoof within the shell.
Side expansion is normal and can enhance stability. However, trimming excess material from the toe area is important to maintain correct breakover.
